The Registrar of the University of Ibadan (UI), Ibadan, Pastor Ganiyu Saliu, has expressed that there are many members of Christ Apostolic Church occupying strategic public offices across the globe.
He noted his appointment as UI Registrar as privilege and the grace of God, saying that “I never expected to become this. But it is the grace of God.”
The Registrar made these remarks upon the courtesy visit of the Director of Youth Affairs, CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Dr. Peter Olanrewaju at his office last week.
Pastor Saliu, an ordained minister in CAC, told the Youth Director that “there are many of us. And God will continue to increase us,” adding that “in UI today, we have some CAC Pastors who are Professors.”
“Continue to pray for me. It’s not a bed of Roses. That once you are a child of God does not mean you will easily get to the top. Hardwork is a necessity,” he said.
He continued that “We must always remember that wherever we are, we are occupying till He comes, knowing fully well that He can come anytime.”
The CAC Youth Director, Dr. Olanrewaju had earlier noted that the visit was part of the strategic move of the fellowship to identify and enagage members of the mission who hold seats at strategic public offices across the globe.
Dr. Olanrewaju made the call for persons in this category to standout as mentors for the younger generation.
He assured the Registrar of their prayers, saying that “He that started the good work will finish it.”
