PROFILE OF IMMEDIATE PAST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF YOUTH AFFAIRS, PASTOR SIMEON OKE

Pastor Simeon Olusoji Oke was born in Ede, Osun State to the family of Elder and Deaconess J. A. Oke through a prophetic message from Prophet S. O. Akande (Baba Abiye). He started his elementary school at C. A. C. Primary school Ede, Osun State, moved to Ansarudeen Primary School Ifo, and later to Saint Saviour Anglican Primary School, Sango-Ota, both in Ogun State. He finally completed his elementary education at Baptist Practicing School Ede, Osun State in 1984 where, due to his outstanding performances, he occupied tripartite offices as a school prefect. He had his secondary education at Christ Apostolic Church Grammar School, Ede, where he finished with good grades in the year 1989. 

Pastor Oke served as a choir boy at CAC Talafia, Ede, as early as 1984. He also served as a music pastor and instrumentalist in some CAC branches in Ede, Ibadan, and Benin City, respectively.

He has a Diploma in Religious Studies at CAC Theological Seminary, Ile Ife; Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye; Masters and PhD in Education Management (Planning) at the University of Benin, Benin City, among other certifications in different fields of study.

Pastor Oke underwent tutelage under late Pastor Josiah Dada Akande where he received divine impartation at Tabernacle House at late prophet Samson Oladeji Akande (Baba Abiye)’s house in Ede. While in Baba Abiye’s house in Ede, he also underwent tutelage under Prophet S. O. Ilesanmi and Joseph Ajibade, respectively.

He graduated from CAC Theological Seminary Opa, Ile-Ife June 1998, and became church evangelist at CAC Ofunwegbe Headquarters, Oliha quarters, Benin City, under Late Pastor J.O. Oyebanji, the then-chairman of Edo DCC. He was Ordained as a Pastor on Saturday, May 15, 1999. He became District Superintendent in 2009 and was confirmed in 2010. He has planted CAC Assemblies, which have metamorphosed to District Status. 

Pastor Oke has served in the following capacities:

1. Provost, Isaiah College of Theology and Mission, Benin City, 2006 – 2015.
2. Adjunct Lecturer, Baptist College of Theology, Benin (An affiliate of Nigerian Baptist Seminary, Ogbomoso & Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State), – 2013 – 2017
3. Secretary, Oliha Auxiliary of Bible Society of Nigeria,                      1998 – 2002
4. Executive Member of Bible Society of Nigeria – Edo Area (Youth Officer),       2007 – 2014
5. Financial Secretary Bible Society of Nigeria Edo Area

Pastor Oke started his membership in Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship as DCC Coordinator from 2002 – 2005; Member of National Youth Implementation and Mobilization Committee in 2004; Secretary of the defunct Ikeji 1 Conference Planning Committee (2003 – 2004); Vice Chairman, New Ikeji 1 Conference Planning Committee (2008 – 2017) and Edo State coordinator from 2005 until he was appointed Assistant Youth Officer.

He was appointed by the Authority of CAC Nigeria and Overseas as the Assistant Director of Youth Affairs, upon the appointment of Pastor Samson Gbuyiro as the 4^th Youth Officer of the church in July 2016.

Pastor Simeon Olusoji Oke is happily married to Mrs Feyikemi F. Oke, and the union is blessed with wonderful children.
