The eagerly awaited 2025 Annual Youth Coordinators’ Meeting, for all Coordinators at Regional, Centre, DCC/Zone, and District levels, was another significant testament to the Youth Fellowship, as it was successfully held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp, Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State.
Being a gathering of youth leaders, the meeting majored on raising leaders of influence among the youths of Christ Apostolic Church who would carry the name of Jesus at every sphere of life.
While appreciating God for the privilege of leadership of the Youth Fellowship and the authority of the Church, the Director of Youth Affairs, CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Peter Olanrewaju, PhD, told the Coordinators that since his appointment, God has been pressing upon his heart that He would do a new thing.
Speaking on the topic, “I WILL DO A NEW THING” with a rider, “I AM COUNTING ON YOU” from the text, Isaiah 43:19, the Director exposited the passage to contemporary applications of God doing a new thing.
According to him, “God is saying, I will do a new thing, but I need vessels that will do it for me.” Furthering that the audience of the passage were Jews in Babylonian captivity, Pastor Olanrewaju assured that this promise of God will come to reality only when there are available vessels ready to be used of God.
He noted the audience of the text of focus to include, Daniel, Meshach, Shedrach and Abednego who he described as Daniel’s company; stating that God wants to raise this set of youths in Babylon in today’s world.
He continued that God is about to raise Daniel’s company, who will operate in the Babylonian systems of this world and bring about change.
“God wants us as leaders to first become the Daniel’s company before we will go and raise the Daniel’s company for Him.”
Highlighting the attributes of Daniel’s company, Pastor Olanrewaju stated that, “even though their names were changed, they did not change their identity; they were in Babylonian culture, but they did not compromise; they knew their God; they faced severe persecution but came out victorious; they influenced their generation with their God.
Establishing how God is set to raise Kings and Priests, people whose character will affect their community in the Youth Fellowship, the CAC Youth Director led the congregation of youth leaders to pray.
The meeting was also marked with prayer and praise sessions, regional reports, presentation of the Director’s roadmap, and a view into the year’s events.
