“Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none… forasmuch as he was faithful” (Daniel 6:4).
Daniel was loyal to the king, yet his ultimate loyalty was to God. Don’t practise loyalty for gain, live it as a virtue. Daniel served with integrity, delivered excellence, and honoured authority but he never bowed to pressure to betray his faith.
Workplace loyalty is not blind allegiance. It is diligence, excellence, and respect, without disloyalty to God.
* Your employer deserves your best work. But God deserves your ultimate allegiance.
* Your job may give you income. But God holds your increase.
* Your salary may sustain you, but only God secures your future.
* When policies test your faith, choose principle over pressure.
* When demands clash with devotion, choose God over gain.
Be loyal to people in their absence, not just in their presence. When history speaks of you, may it echo Daniel’s testimony: “We could find no fault in him, except concerning the law of his God.”
Like Daniel, shine in Babylon and let kings see the God you serve. ![]()
