YOUR SCORECARD AT WORK THIS YEAR: RFLECT TO RESET

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23

Who did you really work for this year?

Your boss applauds you but did God approve the work? Beyond the KPIs and deadlines, heaven asks deeper questions:

Did my work honour God or merely impress men?

The corner cut when no one watched. The credit stolen. The gossip masked as concern. The silence when truth needed a voice.

Every task was an altar. What did you offer?

Your manager may never know the shortcuts. Your colleagues may never catch the lies. But One saw everything, every decision, every motive, every compromise.

Success isn’t what you achieved. It’s who you became achieving it.

Did you serve with excellence when no one would notice? Did you honour those who couldn’t promote you? Did you treat the cleaner like you treat the CEO?

The promotion you chased did it cost you your integrity? The recognition you craved did it make you compromise? The pressure you faced did it reveal Christ or something else?

Stress didn’t create your character. It exposed it.

This is the truth: You can win every award at work and fail the only test that matters. You can climb every ladder and miss the only approval worth having.

Your career isn’t your calling only, it’s the context for it.

Your job is where your faith either performs or pretends.

Before you set 2026 goals, answer this: Will next year be different or just busier?

The God who sees you on Sunday sees you in the workplace. The holiness required in church is required in the boardroom.

2025 is ending. But before planning what you’ll do in 2026, decide who you’ll be.

Will you work for applause or for the Audience of One? Will you chase titles or Christlikeness? Will you measure success by your salary or by His “well done”?

Reflection is mercy.

Reset is grace.

This is a moment for holy self-examination. Not condemnation but correction. Not regret but realignment.

End the year with humility. Enter the new one with clarity.

You will resume to work again but this time, work as unto the Lord.

This year is closing. Your account with Heaven stays open.

What will you deposit in 2026 that eternity can withdraw?

Happy New in advance!
