The Directorate of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, on Thursday, February 13, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Registrar of the University of Ibadan (UI), Ibadan, Pastor Ganiyu Oke Saliu.
Being part of the strategic moves of the CAC Youth Directorate to identify and place as models and motivation for CAC youths, professionals who are committed members of the Church at different spheres and institutions in Nigeria and Overseas, the delegates were led by the CAC Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor Dr. Peter Olanrewaju.
Speaking at the office of the UI Registrar, Pastor Olanrewaju congratulated the Registrar upon his appointment and good works since his assumption of office, describing him as a beacon of light in Christ Apostolic Church.
According to Dr. Olanrewaju, “quite a number of people do not believe we have members of CAC in strategic professional and public offices. We want to bridge the gap between them and the younger generation. We are proud of you and will keep you in our prayers.”
In his response, Pastor Saliu, an ordained Pastor in CAC, appreciated the delegates for the courtesy visit, requesting prayers be made for him.
Describing how the position was not what he envisaged, the Registrar assured that many godly and committed members of CAC are professionals in different fields and institutions globally.
Award of appreciation was presented by the Youth Director to the UI Registrar, in recognition of his commitment to CAC, exceptional leadership and tremendous contributions to the empowerment of young minds.
Apart from the CAC Youth Director, Pastor Olanrewaju, the delegates on the courtesy visit included the Ibadan Center Youth Co-ordinator, Pastor Olufemi Okeowo; Pastor A. A. Daniels; Pastor Tobi Odedina; and Evang. Boluwatife Oparinde.
